- You can use the Skills with your own AI agent, for your own investigative work, including paid client work.
- You can modify them locally. The license travels with the file.
- You cannot redistribute, republish, mirror, post publicly, sell, or use them to train a third-party AI model.
- Each file is watermarked and traceable. Leaked files are matched to the original buyer.
- Use them only for lawful investigations. Unlawful surveillance, harassment, doxxing, or stalking voids the license.
- Subscription license stops on cancellation; downloaded files remain usable forever.
1. Definitions
"Skills" means the Markdown files distributed by OSINT Tradecraft under the slug SKILL.md, including all updates, revisions, and accompanying documentation. "Licensee" means the named individual who purchased or subscribed and to whom the License ID is issued. "License ID" means the per-buyer identifier (format tx_lic_YYYY_XXXXXXXX) embedded in every issued Skill file. "Permitted Agent" means an AI agent (Claude, GPT, Llama, DeepSeek, or any MCP-compatible runtime) operated by the Licensee for the Licensee's own work.
2. Grant of license
Subject to compliance with this Agreement, OSINT Tradecraft grants Licensee a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to:
- Install and use the Skills with a Permitted Agent operated by Licensee.
- Use the methodology and prompts contained in the Skills for the Licensee's own investigative work, including paid client engagements.
- Modify the Skill files locally for personal use, provided the License ID and license metadata remain intact.
- Produce derivative work product (reports, briefs, findings, exhibits) using a Skill-guided Agent. Such work product is owned by Licensee and is not encumbered by this Agreement.
3. Restrictions
Licensee shall not:
- Redistribute the Skills, in whole or in part, by any means — including but not limited to file sharing, public hosting, mirror sites, gists, forums, pastebins, instant messaging, social media, email lists, or torrents.
- Republish the Skills as part of any other product, course, training, plugin, marketplace listing, or aggregated collection.
- Use the Skills to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI model owned or distributed by a third party, or any model intended for redistribution.
- Remove or alter the License ID, watermark frontmatter, license footer, signed MANIFEST.json, or any other licensing metadata.
- Sublicense, rent, lease, sell, or otherwise transfer the Skills to any third party.
- Reverse-engineer the watermarking system or the signing keys, except to the extent expressly permitted by law.
- Permit any other person to use the Skills under Licensee's License ID. A single license covers a single individual; team licenses are available separately.
4. Lawful-use covenant
The Skills are designed for lawful investigators — licensed private investigators, journalists, attorneys, paralegals, fraud examiners, code enforcement officers, defensive intelligence professionals, regulatory analysts, and similarly situated professionals operating within their jurisdiction's legal framework.
Licensee covenants that they will not use the Skills, directly or indirectly:
- To stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or surveil any individual without lawful authority.
- To dox, expose, or harm any individual without a documented investigative purpose recognized at law.
- To violate any applicable law including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Stored Communications Act (SCA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or analogous laws in Licensee's jurisdiction.
- To conduct unauthorized intrusion, exfiltration, or interference with any computer system.
- To enable any activity that would constitute a felony or a serious misdemeanor under the laws of Licensee's jurisdiction or the United States.
Breach of this covenant is a material breach and immediately terminates the license. OSINT Tradecraft reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement and report violations.
5. Watermarking and traceability
Every Skill file issued to Licensee contains per-buyer watermarks — visible YAML frontmatter, a license footer, and (by default) covert zero-width markers — and is registered to Licensee's License ID in our server-side issuance registry. Bundle ZIPs include a signed MANIFEST.json and LICENSE.txt at the root.
If a Skill file is found in unauthorized public distribution, we will trace it to the originating License ID using any combination of visible watermark, covert marker, file hash, or signed manifest. We will pursue a takedown and may revoke the originating license without refund.
Licensee may opt out of covert zero-width markers in dashboard settings; opting out forfeits Licensee's ability to dispute attribution of leaks containing visible watermarks alone.
6. Subscription vs one-time licenses
One-time bundle license
A one-time purchase of a bundle (e.g., OSINT Foundations, Digital Forensics Pro) grants a perpetual license to the version of the Skills delivered at the time of purchase, subject to ongoing compliance with this Agreement. It does not include revisions, new skills, or new bundles released after the purchase date.
Subscription license
An active subscription grants access to all current and future Skills and bundles for the duration of the subscription. On cancellation:
- Licensee's access to download new Skills or updates ends at the end of the current billing period.
- Skills already downloaded during the active subscription period remain usable indefinitely, subject to ongoing compliance with this Agreement.
- New downloads are disabled; the latest-edition re-sync is no longer available to Licensee.
7. Updates and revisions
OSINT Tradecraft may revise, deprecate, or replace any Skill at any time. While a subscription is active, Licensee may re-download the current edition of any entitled bundle at any time (a one-command re-sync in Claude Code). One-time licensees receive only the edition they purchased; we may make older editions unavailable for re-download at our discretion.
8. Intellectual property
All right, title, and interest in and to the Skills, including all copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and other intellectual property rights, are and remain the exclusive property of OSINT Tradecraft. This Agreement does not transfer ownership; it grants a license.
9. Termination
This license terminates automatically upon material breach, including:
- Any redistribution of the Skills.
- Any violation of the lawful-use covenant in §4.
- Any attempt to remove or alter watermarks or licensing metadata.
Upon termination, Licensee must destroy all copies of the Skills in their possession. No refund is owed for terminations arising from Licensee's breach.
10. Disclaimer of warranty
The skills are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, currency of legal authorities cited, or non-infringement. OSINT Tradecraft does not warrant that the skills will produce legally admissible work product in any jurisdiction or that they reflect current law as of any given date. The Skills are not legal advice. Licensee is solely responsible for verifying applicability and compliance.
11. Limitation of liability
In no event shall investigations plugin's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this agreement exceed the amounts paid by licensee in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. In no event shall investigations plugin be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
12. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Exclusive venue lies in the state and federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.
13. Entire agreement
This Agreement, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the Skills and supersedes all prior agreements or understandings.
